Dog running lose this morning on Freeway
Good morning everyone. My sister and I were on our way to work this morning. Taking the Hill Road ramp onto the Southern Motorway. Noticed a dog running on the freeway and we pulled to the side and had tried to get him to avoid him from getting hit. Thankfully for this other man who stopped as well to help. The dog nearly got ran over. After several attempts to try and get him we had no luck but the dog had ran back toward the ramp we came from, and being on the freeway we couldn't go back. Came to work this morning and just couldn't stop thinking of that dog. I called the police and had raised this as well. As I was speaking with the police they mentioned that the dog was no longer on the freeway. My heart felt so relieved. But it seemed as if it was hit earlier before we were trying to rescue him. I hope the owners have found their dog. I have one of my own, and I wouldn't like to see it get hurt. I just wanna know that he's home safe where he should be :(

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
