National Volunteer Week starts this Saturday. We would like to thank all of our volunteers who help us in the shop every day - it means so much to us to have your constant and unwavering support – you help us in so many ways and we really appreciate it.
Our shop will be opening at 11.30am on Saturday 22nd June as we are holding an event for our volunteers.

So here’s the question: why do we get so excited when a new store opens? Convenience? Curiosity? A reason for a weekend outing? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
