YES PEOPLE - it's nearly time for another Feilding Repair CAFE - 10 days to go - so sort out your winter garments needing mending, or maybe you have a treasured book that is coming apart or a small item of furniture that is a bit wobbly and unsafe, maybe your sewing machine could do with a little fix up or that lamp that looks ok - it just doesn't go for some reason .... if you can carry it bring it along to 14 Bowen St between 10 am and noon on Saturday June 15 for an assessment and maybe a fix ...

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
