Michael Murdoch had been missing since September 2019
More than five years after Michael Murdoch vanished without a trace, police have confirmed his body was discovered inside a submerged car in the Waikato River.
Murdoch, 44, of Ngāruawāhia, was formally identified after a red or maroon 2001 Nissan Skyline was recovered from the river on August 13, 2024, near Day’s Park at Swarbrick Landing.
