Where have the lovely kuia gone from the craft building beside the Foxton windmill? They were always a favourite when we went to Foxton because they shared their stories and skills so generously. They've been displaced by a group of gauche young carvers who have no idea how to relate to the public. "We kicked them out," said one when we enquired. Please, Foxton, can another home be found for the ladies, as they added so much to the Foxton area?
