Designer ducks
Ducks are fantastic for orchards as they keep the bugs and weeds down while enriching the soil with their nitrogen rich poop which is 80% water and breaks down easily. They also lay the most amazing eggs for baking!! They will lay regularly for many years and if cared for well will live for anywhere up to 20yrs!
My adult ducks free range our 6 acres and are treated with respect. Most were rescued from where they were dumped beside rivers and lakes, starving and hypothermic. Ducks need plenty of space to forage, and a good quantity of well-balanced feed to lay well. Like all ducks they need water to bathe, drink and generally enjoy - it also helps them to lay better.
Pot or pet please treat us humanely and with respect.
If you can no longer keep us please cull or rehome us DO NOT "release" aka abandon us in a local lake/river/waterway, it is cruel and unnecessary - it is also illegal.
My males/dads are Swedish Blue/Black. The females/mums are a bit of a mix - Pekin, Cayuga, Swedish, Appleyard Cross, Khaki Campbell and others.
$25 per female
$20 per male

I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
