ANZ closed its branch in the town in December, and Westpac removed its ATM from the town's Main St in May.
BNZ retail regional manager Ange McHardy said the reality was it wasn't practical to keep the branch open after in-person transactions fell significantly during the past couple of years.
Almost 90 per cent of BNZ customers do the bulk of their banking online, but the bank would continue to support the community with its Main St ATM, she said.
