A little bit about me...

Jackie from Raumati South

Hi, My name is Jackie and I live in Raumati South - which was until recently a tranquil wee place but has been overrun by traffic cones and trenches of late, Ah well, this too shall pass. I love being near the beach and listening to the waves on a summer evening Don't walk there as much as I should since my beloved dog died and I took to keeping chickens instead. I like to put a few eggs out as my contribution to the cost of living crisis- so don't worry if you see them on the kerbside, they are not for pelting people with. I love reading (really appreciate the mini library across from our mighty shopping metropolis), writing and quizzing. I have been trying to get a team together sporadically for ages if anyone is interested. I also love music, football (Go Arsenal and the Phoenix (I suppose). Getting into veggie growing as well which is satisfying when the chickens don't get to the seedlings first. Kapiti is a lovely place to live.

Missing Playgroup Slide

Kate Neighbourly Lead from Raumati Beach

Missing! Our playgroup slide! The slide belongs to the Kapiti Uniting Parish, Raumati Church at 10 Weka Road, Raumati Beach. The last time it went missing it was found at Weka Park. Have you seen it? Or if you have taken it by accident, can you please return it. The preschoolers missed it this morning. Thank you!
