Watercare holds open days to discuss wastewater services for the Hibiscus Coast
If you'e got a question about planning for wastewater services for the Hibiscus Coast ... then Watercare is happy to answer it.
Watercare is holding two open days in mid February in Whangaparoa and Silverdale for local residents and businesses to come along, meet staff and talk about various future options for wastewater services. They include short, medium and long term solutions and Watercare is looking for an opportunity to not only provide information but also receive feedback.
The region is experiencing huge growth: according to Auckland Council’s growth projections, the existing population of approximately 46,000 is estimated to increase to an ultimate population of approximately 180,000 by 2053.
The first open day takes place from 3-6.00 pm on 14 February at Orewa Community Centre, 40–46 Orewa Square, Orewa. A second session will take place the next day (15 February) from 4.00-7.00 pm at Stoney Homestead Community Hub, 12 Galbraith Greens, Silverdale. There is no need to book.
