If you have been a volunteer in your community, have good communication skills, are methodical, computer literate, have time to commit and are willing to assist all manner of people in your community this could be your opportunity.

Mark Mitchell our sitting Member of Parliament is hosting an information evening on Monday, 8th May at 6.30 pm. Representatives from the local Justice of the Peace Association will be present to answer any questions. The information evening will be held at 7 Tamariki Avenue, Orewa. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
