The Central Challenge

Sara Cooper from Nelson Central School Community Group

The Central Challenge Family Adventure Race is Nelson Central School's main
fundraising event for 2021. Being held on Sunday May 23rd, 10am – 3pm at Central School.

This traditional School Gala and Rogaine Event in one, encourages a wide range of school's whanau, community and local sponsors to embark in some good active family fun together.

Our school places a huge emphasis on healthy, active, fundraising fun! Nelson Central School will be a buzz with the Rogaine, a 1 or 2 hour timed orienteering event with a map, clues and wild card prizes. With a Gala as well as a Rogaine there is something for everyone; hot food, baking and refreshments at the Café, picnic and seated dining, Bouncy Castle Obstacle Course, Blast Body Zorb, Games Ally, Kombucha and our own Kidpreneur items for sale and many other games, food and activities.

To help our 'waste free' endeavours, we encourage you to bring your reusable bags, picnic gear and coffee cups… or a gold coin for the use of the “Wash n Go” wash station to minimise rubbish. Don't forget your drink bottles!

Register online and win! Each online entry goes in the draw to win one of our fantastic sponsored prizes! To find out more and register your team, whether it be a team of one, two, three or four, a family or work colleagues - go to www.centralchallenge.co.nz...

This event is proudly sponsored by Switch Lighting, Nelson Orthodontics and Pics Peanut Butter.

WINTER DONATIONS & SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS

The Team from Red Cross Shop Richmond

Heya Community,

Thanks for your incredible support this week as always. We're still on the hunt for more donations, especially WINTER CLOTHING & MENSWEAR. Remember we offer free collection Monday to Friday!

We're also looking for a couple of enthusiastic volunteers to join us on Saturdays!
(9:30-1:30 & 1:30-5:00)

Whether you're a morning person or prefer the afternoon shift, we'd love your help. All you need is to be friendly, have great communication skills, and if you have an eye for design, that's a bonus! Plus, we won't say no to a good singing voice or a love for chocolate biscuits 😉

Drop by and chat with Pen if you're interested!

See you in store this weekend 🏠,
Red Cross Richmond

Downsizing can open the door to a new stage of your life that is rich in opportunity. However, it can be a daunting prospect. If you are embarking on a new chapter of life, the thought of shedding familiar possessions can feel even more stressful. This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.

Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
