Poll: Do we need to improve conditions for tenants?

Amy Ridout Reporter from The Nelson Mail

The government is asking for submissions on proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act.

This includes limiting rent rises to once a year, limiting "rental bidding", looking at changing regulations around pets and home alterations, and increasing the amount of notice a landlord needs to end a tenancy to 90 days.

More information here: www.hud.govt.nz...

We would like to speak with people currently renting a home, as well as landlords, about their experiences renting or letting, and their thoughts on the proposed changes for a Stuff story.
