2. More Motivated Genuine Buyers getting in before the ‘Spring Rush' - means you ‘Sell High’.

3. Get to be a Non-contingent buyer – with your property sold it is great timing to buy in spring when most sellers list, meaning you ‘Buy Competitively’

4. Interest Rates are still historically low and holding, get in before they change.

5. Faster results and settlements due to less happening on the market, better availability of specialists, which is great for both sellers and buyers.

6. Digital Marketing is no problem in winter - 90% of buyers use this. Home searches increase during winter due to people being home more during the colder months.

7. Welcoming Warm Open Homes – It is easy in winter to show off your homes warmth & Insulation with a cosy fire and good heating. Add in fresh baking and coffee = hard to beat.

8. Increased Marketing in winter with less competition makes your home really stand out by doing more open homes, ads, or posts makes your home incredibly visible to buyers.

9. A home liked in winter is a home loved in summer

10. Sun and light are king – with the sun lower and fewer leaves on the trees, your home is likely to get better sun inside. Good natural light creates warmth and appeal

A norovirus outbreak has been confirmed in a rest home in Nelson after several cases of gastroenteritis were reported.

Nelson Marlborough Public Health Service clinical director Dr Stephen Bridgman said it was not uncommon for cases of norovirus to occur in residential facilities and the Public Health Service was monitoring the situation.

Children with symptoms should be kept home from schools and ECEs, and adults should stay away from their workplace, while they are sick and for 48 hours after their last vomiting or diarrhoea episode. Read more here.

How can I prevent getting sick?
Hand hygiene is the single most important activity to help prevent the spread of colds, influenza, tummy bugs and other infections.

What if I've got norovirus?
The Ministry of Health advises people:
- Not to go to school, early childhood centres or work until well and for 48 hours after the last episode of diarrhoea and vomiting.
- Not to handle food for at least 48 hours after the symptoms stop.
- Immediately remove and wash any contaminated clothes and bedding using detergent and hot water.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect contaminated surfaces by using a bleach-based disinfectant.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or an alcohol-based gel.

Hi all,

This is just a quick message to say hello and thanks! We've appreciated all the support for our business over the past two years as we've grown from my father's home garage to the present - where we have over 50 cars in stock.

We've been directly importing great quality cars from Japan, servicing them, adding a warranty and then putting them on the lot at a fair & reasonable price.

Japanese cars have great build quality & prices have come way down. With shipping being reasonably cheap we should theoretically see cheaper prices across the board in the used car market.

For some reason, Nelson prices have stayed inflated - which is where we step in! This has to change. Sometimes we are up to $1,500 cheaper than our nearest competitor. Not always - but we do price them down as often as we can!

We know it's not all about price BUT who doesn't want a good quality car AND have some money in their back pocket left over?

To that end, if you see this post as a member of Neighbourly, we are offering $500 off your next car purchase through us. This excludes cars that are already on sale.

A HUGE THANKS to all of you who have already supported us over the past two years. It's been a great ride so far and we are looking forward to helping you solve your transport needs.

Cheers,
Chris Wastney
