The needs of horses and farm maintenance are a … View moreMany thanks to everyone in the community, including many businesses, that have helped us to lift our funding temperature so much the last five months. We are well on our way to our target of $75,000 by the end of the year, but we are not there yet. The needs of horses and farm maintenance are a constant financial demand while recent riding income has been patchy at best, we still need lots of help to get to our target. We are delighted that once again we will hold the annual … View morePlease support our wonderful Nelson branch of Riding for the Disabled, the hard-working staff who do what they do so well for love as much as pay, all our volunteers and of course all our awesome riders who gain so much from the therapy. We are delighted that once again we will hold the annual Horses Birthday at 11am on Saturday (the perfect day!!) 1 August, giving the community the opportunity to see their work in action. Some riders will demonstrate their riding skills (in some cases this is the only outdoor sport they can participate in), there will be prizegiving and a light lunch. Please support this wonderful institution and help us get rid of the waiting list with donations for much needed additional horses. On Saturday 1 August the horses will all have their annual birthday, with cakes (including horsey ones!), food, riding displays and fun for all, come and join us!

This great team did an awesome job of serving up some great sizzled treats - thank you so much! We need TWO new horses to replace an older horse and to meet demand so that we can get rid of the waiting list.
