• Santa will be at the Presbyterian Support East Coast Charity Store from 10am – 1pm, make sure get a photo and put your Christmas order in. Gold Coin donation.
• All our wonderful Cafés and Restaurants will be open and offering plenty of yummy treats to satisfy the celebratory mood.
• Get some early Christmas shopping with loads of Market stalls in Gloucester Street including hand crafts, gifts, Soy Candles, jewellery, gift baskets, plants, Christmas raffles, Cookie Time Christmas Cookies, shop special tables and much much more.
• The Christmas Shoppe is also open in the Taradale Town Hall from 10am – 8pm.
While in town make sure you take a stroll up Gloucester Street and take-a-look at the @Wooden Christmas Tree Community Art Project and enter the People’s Choice competition. Thirty-six gorgeously decorated Wooden Christmas Trees will be on display giving Taradale a real festive feel, thanks to the schools, individuals and artists who decorated them. By voting for your favourite you could WIN $100 of Resene Vouchers for yourself and $200 worth of Resene Vouchers for the decorator of the favourite tree.

Keep your eyes peeled for the latest scam to be fooling Kiwis. Scammers are taking advantage of people looking for a home to call their own, creating fake competitions and giveaways to win a tiny home.
A recent scam asked people to sign up on their page which went through a process of multiple surveys so the scammers can collect more information about the Facebook user in the hope of collecting personal details, including bank accounts. To read all about the scam, click here.
A fraud education manager says:
- People are helping the scammers by liking and sharing the post as it spreads the virus
- As soon as you like the Facebook post it gives scammers access to information
- If unsure whether it's a scam or not, look for terms and conditions - often these scams do not have them
- If you think you've been made a victim of an online scam, contact Netsafe and report it immediately. You can access Netsafe's page here.

We put up our very special tree at the salvation army christmas tree show case yesterday I managed to get a sneak preview , it looks absolutely fabulous so make sure you visit 56 Tait drive , the entrance fee is minimal the inspiration huge
We have had a gas cylinder disconnected and stolen from the side of the house in Park Rd. It must be BBQ season so secure or hide your cylinders. Ratbags!!
