People with Covid-19 visited Kingswood Rest Home in Morrinsville

Stacey Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours,

An aged residential care facility in Morrinsville that was visited by two people who later tested positive for Covid-19 says everyone they’ve tested has returned negative results.

The Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield announced on Thursday that people who tested positive for Covid-19 visited an aged residential care facility before they started showing symptoms.

On Friday, Bloomfield said Waikato DHB confirmed that two new positive cases in Tokoroa were also linked to those visitors.

They first visited Tokoroa, before heading to the rest home in Morrinsville. Those two people are linked to the index case in Auckland.

Kingswood Healthcare confirmed on Friday their rest home in Morrinsville was the facility visited, but director Tammy Pienaar said everyone the positive person came in contact with while there had since returned negative tests. To read more, click here
