Poll: Should Rodney break away from the Super-City?

Rhonwyn Newson Reporter from Rodney Times

Two breakaway bids from Auckland could carve off a quarter of the super-city's landmass and create the smallest council in New Zealand at the same time.

The Local Government Commission is due to announce its decision on bids by residents of Rodney in North Auckland and Waiheke Island to break away from the super-city.

But Bill Townson of the Northern Action Group, representing Rodney residents campaign to leave Auckland, says he is not optimistic of the group's chances.

What should happen to north Rodney?
