Wairarapa Farmer's Market - a great outing for a winter morning
Wairarapa Farmer’s Market is a gem in the winter with fresh greens and vegetables from Little Farms and Gladstone Gardens. Make it your Saturday regular – and top tip this week is wear your gumboots (like lots of the region the showgrounds are wet underfoot right now!) and park by the main entrance in Judds Road and take the short walk from there.
Grab a coffee, enjoy the live music each week and browse the stalls under cover below the grand stand. Such a wide selection of local products: honey, jam, cheese, apples, crafts, pottery and more.
Wairarapa Farmer’s Market - take your kids these school holidays and make it a regular family outing. Solway Showgrounds, Masterton Whakaoriori - 9am -1pm every Saturday.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
