Grey Power Hutt City
Grey Power is an organisation that has as its main goal to advance, support and protect the welfare and well being of New Zealanders 50 years old and older. We not aligned with any political party, and present a strong united lobby to all Parliament and statutory Bodies on matters affecting New Zealanders. We have a meeting this Friday at 10AM at the Senior Citizens Rooms which are on the left as you enter Countdown, Queensgate car park. Our guest speaker will be Tracey Martin, Minister for Seniors. Prospective new members are also welcome to attend this meeting.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
