Maintenance and resurfacing work at Waterloo Station – 4 and 5 March
On 4 March and 5 March 2020, between 7am and 6pm, we’ll be doing some maintenance and resurfacing work in the bus stop area at Waterloo Station, Cambridge Terrace side.
Carparks will be coned off from 7pm, Tuesday 3 March 2020 and will reopen the morning after completion. These works are weather dependent and if delays occur the area may remain closed until works are complete.
This is essential work to minimise major disruption at a later date.
In order to reduce disruption as much as possible this area will still be open to buses, however it will be closed off to all other traffic including taxis, drop offs and accessible parks within the area indicated on map below. Customers wanting to use these facilities are encouraged to use the new park and ride facility on the other side of the railway station (Pohutukawa Street). Footpath access will be open, with signage in place to direct customers.
Due to the nature of these works there may be instances where buses are unable to stop tight up against the kerb. Bus replacement for the train services will remain in their usual location.
We appreciate your patience during these works. For a map of the area, visit the Service Update on:

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
