Halloween Door knockers :-)
Hi all, we only got to know this last year so here's a heads up for Halloween.
- A balloon outside your door/ gate means: Kids are welcomed to knock for Halloween candies
- No balloon : Kids will leave your house alone.
(I waited for a couple of years prior for door knockers, but no one came till someone told us last year! Viola! )
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
