Paint up a Storm - Wine & Watercolour Evening + Youth Art Class

Fancy having a go at painting up a storm? This painting as featured in the exhibition of Wellington watercolours now showing at our Petone seaside art gallery, will be the subject of one the next beginner watercolour classes on Saturday 6th August. There will be a youth workshop between 1 and 3pm ($25) and a Wine & Watercolour evening for grownups in the evening, ($50 includes one or two glasses of creative juice to get inspiration flowing). No previous experience required and all materials supplied, At the end of the class you'll have your own masterpiece to be proud of and a beaming smile of creative satisfaction on your dial.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
