Please keep ED free for emergencies
Kenepuru Community, Wellington Regional, and Hutt Hospitals are currently experiencing higher volumes of patients – particularly in the region’s emergency departments.
Anyone presenting to ED will be assessed by a nurse on arrival, and will be prioritised for treatment based on their assessed level of clinical need. If you are assessed as not having an urgent need, you can expect to wait longer to see a clinician.
If you are unsure about whether you require urgent care, please call your GP or Healthline (0800 611 116) for advice. In an emergency, phone 111.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
