Medals
Hi anyone know anything about Medals or can tell me where I can get some information. I just had a visit from my brother from the UK and he has handed me two identical medals that belonged to my father they are very grey and dirty so I hope I have not done the wrong thing as I cleaned one of them up a bit. on the medals is a Picture of a naked man on a naked horse, well it has no saddle bridal or reins is what I mean. it has the date 1914/1918 the reverse side it has the profile of king George, and round the edge, is George IVS. V BRITT: OMN: REX ET IND: IMP: the ribbon it is on, is blue edges to yellow and orange in the middle. I do not even know if this ribbon goes with these medals I do not know anything about these neither does my brother who has now returned to the UK.
Can anyone tell me where to go to find out or where to start. Many thanks

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
