Identify edible mushroom ? 😊
Good day to you. Today i picked some wild mushrooms ? near the Wainui river about 1km below the dam on the mown grass between the trees and the side of the road. I have looked on the net for as much information as possible as to determine if they are edible or poisonous. I think they are edible but am not entirely sure. I wont eat them until i am 100 % sure. Can any one help me identify them. I live in Wainui. Mushrooms are high in B vitamins and selenium. I am very interested in eating wild foods as these are even higher in nutrients than organicly grown vegetables. Which i also have a large 100% organic vegetable garden growing many yummy vegetables. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
