For the first half of April parking wardens will provide a reminder to people that may be unaware of the change. The one hour free trial was extended following the November 14 earthquake in light of shortages of city-wide parking.
All day parking rates in HC4 zones (including the Riverbank Carpark) were reduced earlier this year to 70 cents per hour, or a maximum of $4 per day.
