The weather is getting better with summer on the way. Enjoy the outdoors by coming to play croquet on our beautiful lawns with our club's friendly members. To start with, we will teach you how to play Golf Croquet, which is a lot of fun. The club days for Golf Croquet are the mornings of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Arrive at 9.30am, Walter Nash Park, 110A Reynold's Street, Taita, Lower Hutt (the bus shelter for the 110 route is outside the gate).Wear suitable clothing for the weather and flat shoes (no heels). Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
