It appears to be there solely for the entrance to a new subdivision, such entrance could well be seerved by a "T" intersection with maybe a giveway or stop sign.
To place a rondabout on a curve with limited visibility in a road with an 80K limit simply for access seems an invitastion for disaster.
If I were a betting person I would back the Police having to attend a serious crash at this point within the next twelve months.
Is there another reason for this road hazard?

Petone's historic Oddfellows Hall had no legal protection when it was bowled over by a developer late last year. Do you think the council needs to do more to recognise and protect the Hutt's old buildings?

Awesome work Wellingtonians, you have been keeping demand below 160MLD as you continue to #loveeverydrop.
Your gardens will have seen some love this week but this weekend is looking a bit dryer, so keep up the good water conservation work and let's remain below 160MLD.
