The screen door will make it easier for them to get cool fresh air from outside while keeping them and the house Secure.
Thanks

Question about end of tenancy

Lynne from Epuni

If a landlord gives you notice to move that is less than the lease agreement, citing he is moving in, is there a legal amount of time that he has to reside in the property? Lonely chicken needs a home

Jennifer from Belmont

I have a hyline brown about 3 years old, last survivor of our small flock. This last one seems depressed to be on her own and needs other chickens for company. Please note that she doesn't lay anymore. She comes with about 5kg grain and I'll throw in the chooketeria and water feeder … View moreI have a hyline brown about 3 years old, last survivor of our small flock. Hello to all Neighbourly Citizens, Community and Whanau. Yesterday I took my partner and grandson to the Avalon park and I took my dog for a long walk and ended up at the Fairway Drive side where the duck pond is and saw people meditating. Its known as Falun Dafa/ Falun Gong.
Falun Gong or Falun Dafa is a modern Chinese spiritual practice that combines meditation and qigong exercises with a moral philosophy centred on the tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. I was quite fascinated. So I had to ask. I was informed that they are there every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. It cost nothing and its to learn about meditation etc. So every Saturday that I go for my walk along Taita drive and around the riverside path back towards the duck pond I will be there in time to start this. I've just started a fitness routine and this would be a bonus. So feel free to come. Have a look or join in. Thanks neighbourly

Mufti Police Patrol Car a Big Surprise

Michael from Pinehaven

It seems the Wellington region police have got plenty of cash (and dash) probably mostly from catching drivers exceeding 80km down Ngaranga Gorge highway.

One of their mufti patrol cars is a late model black Alfa Romeo. It was seen in action in the outskirts of Upper Hutt a week or so ago.

The Dutch reach forces drivers to turn and look behind them before opening their door. It has been taught in the Netherlands for years and people there are required to demonstrate it before they can pass a driving test.
