Parking meters in Petone
It is beyond my comprehension that the Hutt City Council would choose to start putting parking meters in Petone. Are they totally unaware that we are in a very difficult place economically, and shopkeepers are struggling to keep their heads above water? Are they hoping to get more people to choose to shop at Queensgate? Look how that impacted on Lower Hutt's business centre. Is this a move to undermine Petone's economy as well? Quite frankly I think this is a disgusting thing to do, and I would be interested to hear what other members of the community feel about this.
