Birds if you want
Hi everyone, lots of people have been asking for more local content on here. Are you interested in local birds and other wildlife photos? I go out every couple of days and take a few. I took up birding last year as a way to get out of the office and get some exercise, along the way I got bitten by the birding bug and discovered that birds are very interesting and there is a lot more in my neighbourhood than I thought (I'm up to 62 species). I'm happy to post them on here if people like. Let me know. Here's a tui in my garden in Woburn from last week.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
