Tai Chi Beginner Class

Ariane from Waterloo

Anyone ever fancied trying Taoist Tai Chi? I'm an accredited instructor at the Taoist Tai Chi Society of New Zealand and would like to draw your attention to our new Beginner Class in Lower Hutt, CBD.

Saturdays 10 -11:30 am commencing 5 August

Practising Taoist Tai Chi™ brings health benefits for body, mind and spirit. The fast-paced yet sedentary nature of modern life often results in stress and lack of sufficient physical activity.

People of all ages can learn and benefit from the gentle turning and stretching movements of the Taoist Tai Chi™ internal arts of health. The art can be adapted to match any level of ability.

The Taoist Tai Chi Society is a volunteer-run organisation of many years standing in NZ. The first introductory class doesn't require membership.

1st floor 330 High Street (opposite Countdown)

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
