Charity Garage Sale
Greenstone Doors Charitable Trust (based in both Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt) are having a fundraising garage sale on Saturday 27 February from 10:30am - 1:30pm at 1285 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt - The Chanel Family Centre. We would appreciate any donations of used items including furniture, bric-a-brac, clothing etc. These can be dropped off on the front porch of 23 Burnside Street, Waterloo. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
