PERSONAL CARER

John & Lyn from Waiwhetu

I urgently need a casuał Personal Carer to assist me with my morning routine Tuesday to Friday, when my other Carer is unavailable, which is quite often at the moment, due unforseen circumstances.
This includes hoisting out of bed, toileting, showering, dressing, passive leg stretches, making me glam to face the day and getting my breakfast / lunch (which is my main meal). It also includes putting me to bed two evenings a week (Monday and Thursday) and a morning shift on a Saturday once every three months. (Paid separately). Some housework is included. No heavy lifting involved. Full training will be given. Oh, and by the way my husband lives with me! We are both retired, but always busy!!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Speed limits around NaeNae

Susan from Naenae

Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
