The little white kiwi with a feisty personality was more than just a bird to those who met her and the institutions who served as her guardians.
The extremely rare bird made the news across the world as the first white kiwi chick to be hatched in captivity back in 2011, and she died on December 27, 2020 after surgery to remove an infertile egg that had become stuck.

The Petone Wharf is undergoing repairs today after being damaged in the two recent earthquakes.
Damaged piles will be replaced today (Monday 11 January) as part of scheduled repairs. The wharf will remain open during the work.

I have been socialised with some dogs at the centre, so I won't mind living with a friendly, playful dog. I would love a family that can take me out for walks everyday and keep me active."
