Large Swells on Eastern Bays Coast

The team from Hutt City Council

EASTERN BAYS: 🌊

Coastal roads around the bays are being affected by large swells currently. With high tide at 11.10am, swells are expected to peak between midday and late afternoon. Please avoid using roads and footpaths near the coastline for the remainder of the day.

We have crews onsite to contain and clean up as the swells die down.

Please stay home and stay safe.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
