We’re upgrading the busy northern Waterloo Quay level crossing to make it better able to withstand earthquakes and flooding, safer, and easier for vehicles to cross. If you’re travelling in the area (including to the ferries and Westpac Stadium) please allow extra time and follow the detours. 4.50am today found a half Persian brown and white cat digging up my garden so to the owner please have more control over your cat. I also have 3 other cats come on to my property 2 black and white ones and a blackish one.They love to catch and kill the birds and they're not fussy...starlings, sparrows,black birds,tuis, ducklings.Just letting cat owners who have no control over their pets I am over it.Am in Central Hutt area and house backs on to a stream....

Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
