REF 5675 - On-call Crisis Worker
This critical Hutt organisation provides support for vulnerable members of our community. In this role you will be supporting the specialist crisis workers on an on-call basis. Ideally you will have outstanding communication skills, a high level of professionalism, ability to work in a high pressure environment, and a kind empathetic heart. This is a very challenging but equally rewarding opportunity. Full support and training will be provided to you.
REF 6309 - Youth Support
This wonderful agency gives our local kids and teenagers the opportunity to take a different path in life and build their self confidence. They are looking for someone who is able to connect with younger people and guide them in the right direction. You must be a kind, encouraging, and non-judgmental person to be the right fit for this role. Interest in any crafts / sports activities is also a bonus. Full support and training will be provided to you.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
