Road closures in Korokoro

Update 4.30pm: 1/9: Singers Road is now open in both directions to through traffic. The lower section of Korokoro Road will reopen within the hour.

Update 12noon 1/9: The lower section of Korokoro Road is also now closed. After last night's rain a slip has come down. It is being cleared now and the road is likely to be opened this afternoon. In the meantime traffic is being detoured via London Road.

Update 7am 1/9: After heavy rain overnight both sides of Singers Road are now closed to through traffic. Detours are in place via Korokoro Road. Please follow the temporary road signs.

31/9: The downhill lane of Singers Road in Korokoro is closed as a safety precaution. The road is accessible only to uphill traffic at the intersection of Korokoro Rd and Singers Road. Those going downhill will be detoured via Korokoro Road. Please follow the temporary road signs put in place to direct traffic.
The lane is being closed as a safety precaution because subsidence in a footpath means there is the possibility of further subsidence in heavy rain and we need to bring a crew in to assess it. It’s likely the downhill lane will remain closed over the weekend. We’ll update this post when the downhill lane reopens.
