New Council Rubbish Collection

Diane from Epuni

We have heard a lot recently about the new council rubbish arrangements. This will not be an option, there will be no other option. We were previously very happy with Al's Litter Bins, who provided a fabulous service. I think we need to hear from council about what will happen to these other companies, now that the council are taking away their employment. Come on HCC - front up to let us know what will happen to these workers.

Seed Sharing for Neighbours Day!

The Team from Neighbours Day Aotearoa

We love how creative some people are with their plant giving! This is for goodie bags for a 7 year olds party but we reckon you could borrow this wonderful idea for the Neighbours Day Aotearoa Great Plant Swap!
What a lovely gift to get and it's not just kids who love sunflowers.

ADDED BONUS: if you give your neighbours sunflower seeds you would get to enjoy their beautiful flowers too!

Have you signed up for Neighbours Day 2021 yet? There's lots of ways you can join in...check out our website to register today:

Push to get every Kiwi scanning, every time

Nicholas Boyack Reporter from Community News

Come on Neighourly folk remember to scan, every time you go out.
As new highly transmissible Covid-19 strains send countries into second and third lockdowns, Stuff is forging ahead with its “Stop! Scanner time” campaign to remind Kiwis of the importance to keep scanning QR codes, should there be a community outbreak.
Everyone – every single one of us – needs to be scanning the NZ Covid Tracer app, or signing in on a sheet of paper, every single time.
Come on Neighourly folk remember to scan, every time you go out.
