What's your experience with pre-fabricated homes?
The Sunday Star-Times is looking into the rise of transportable/ kit-set/ pre fabricated homes. The upsides are build-efficiency, quality of design, and cost. The downsides appear to be land supply, red-tape with council and difficulty getting lending from banks. Council will reconsider Lower Hutt Airport Flyer
Greater Wellington Regional Council will reconsider offering an Airport Flyer service to Lower Hutt when the service returns in 2022.
The regional council is looking to take over the Airport Flyer service after the previous privately-run service was paused during the Covid-19 lockdown and then canned completely last in November.
However, an initial report prepared by council officers did not consider the option of a Lower Hutt service, instead only recommending a line between Wellington Airport and the Wellington Railway Station.
The regional council unanimously passed a motion agreeing to explore the option of a direct service from Lower Hutt to the Airport as part of a consultation on the region’s public transport plan.
