Very easy to growing in any season, they like sunshine and water, it's very good for gardener.

Pepino Melon was originally named Melon solanum, also known as longevity fruit, pineapple, and colorful fruit. It is native to South America and belongs to the solanaceous perennial dicotyledonous herb. When the fruit is ripe, the skin is golden yellow and looks like a human heart. Its flesh is unique, crisp and juicy, not sour or astringent, and is a popular fruit like sour horn
Pepino melon is an annual herb that belongs to the family Solanaceae and is native to the northern foothills of the Andes in South America. Pepino melon plants are about 1 meter tall, with strong branches and easy shape. Each plant can bear 5-20 fruits. The fruit is oval in shape, with a white background when mature, with a slightly purple pattern, and can be hung on the branch for 5-6 months without falling off. It can be used as a hanging fruit bonsai. Raw food, but also cooking

We are still getting used to being with people, so don't like to be picked up. Our confidence is slowly improving. We are very cute and great to watch. We will need a large grass area with a weatherproof hutch for day time. We need to come inside at night to spend time with our family, and to help us keep safe from the weather and other animals."

If we sound like the kind of new family member you have been looking for, please get in touch. Remember if you want your pet featured on Neighbourly, email us on yourpet@dompost.co.nz with a recent photo. Please remember to say which suburb you live in.

Today’s the day! McKenzie Baths and Wainuiomata Summer Pool are open for the summer season 🏊

It should come as no surprise we have additional health and safety measures in place in the face of COVID-19 and to reflect Alert Level 2 requirements.

Here are some golden rules for you to follow if you plan to make a trip to take a dip:

✅ Scan in using the NZ COVID tracer app

✅ Keep a two metre distance from others (who are not in your bubble)

❌ Please stay home if you’re feeling unwell – and if you have cold or flu symptoms please get tested!

Our team will be closely monitoring visitor numbers to enforce limits (these vary depending on the size of the facility, but essentially mean we are operating at half-capacity).

Thank you in advance for following the above guidance – it helps us keep everyone safe, and our facilities open for our community to enjoy.

“I’ll only eat dinner 2-3 times a week so that the children have enough food. This is very stressful… a lot of crying and minimal sleep.”

Food insecurity is the everyday reality for 98.8% of the families Variety helps.

Today, the nest was empty only 20 days later – the birds had all fledged and were hanging about like teenagers in the trees around our garden. Well done mummy thrush; you've been an inspiration."
