Lawn Bowls
Lawn Bowls is a sport that Women and Men of all ages can enjoy. It is not just a sport for the elderly. Many of our top bowlers throughout the country are young people. It is great to be out in the sunshine during the summer months enjoying a friendly game of bowls. Massey Avenue Bowling Club in Woburn Lower Hutt is a super friendly club with a nice social attitude towards Bowls. We have 2 club days each week {Wednesday and Saturday} where you can come along join in a team and have a great afternoon playing bowls. We do have bowls you can use. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
