Wellington Zoo
On the 22nd and 23rd of September, we will be holding some special activities at the Zoo to celebrate Conservation Week and there are great prizes to be won.
Entry for children will be half price on both days - $6 for kids and $25 for adults.
The activities will include making beeswax candles to take home, how to create a Gecko friendly garden, discovering the work of our wildlife Vets and making some fun enrichment for our Kea.
We will also have two fun and interactive bubble shows each day and the Mojo Coffee Cart will be in the Zoo.
Make sure you visit the Zoo over this weekend to celebrate our beautiful native wildlife!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
