My Kind Neighbour nomination
My nominee is Mrs Barry who lives in front of us. She's a stalwart in the wider Kapiti region. She's lived on our street the longest and knows just about every and anyone. She's always cheerful, courteous, generous, thoughtful and welcoming. She often comes over with goodies for the kids and knows them all (4) by name. She's a devout Catholic and attends the Pukekaraka St Michael's congregation here in Otaki. Even though she's old enough to retire she still maintains her independence. She drives herself to work at the Waikanae library each week and enjoys a busy social life. We love her as a neighbor and couldn't imagine being here without her. Mrs Barry is truly one of a kind.
