Chooks
One of my neighbours now has 15 cooks and 2 roosters, I thought the limit in an urban neighbourhood was 5 chooks and no roosters. I have called the council twice and the SPCA once. The SPCA came and said they look ok to them, the council have done nothing which is what I expected. Whilst I'm no fan of neighbourhood chook's I'm also no fan of not caring for them if you have them. This guy doesn't feed them often, they scratch around looking for food. They get off his section and wonder down the street and in and out of mine and other neighbouring sections. My kelpie thinks its huge fun to chase them around the section when they get over the fence. Ive stopped him twice but I've had enough and he can have a free feed next time. Also they are now brining rats and I along with a neater negihbour have had to buy traps as we cant use poison because we both have pets. Don't tell me to try talking to him because I have and he just smiles and ignores me apparently beating him with one if his dead chooks may be considered assault would be satisfying though.
