What do you think of this idea: life jacket library in Far North?

Denise Piper Reporter from Northern News

A unique life jacket library aims to improve water safety by removing cost barriers.
The Northland Regional Council initiative will distribute 120 life jackets to remote communities in Te Hiku. The communities themselves will decide how the life jackets are lent to best effect – from just a few hours to a longer-term loan.
The project comes as Northland was singled out by Maritime NZ as the worst region in the country for boating deaths, with 15 people losing their lives to recreational boating from 2015 to 2020. Of those deaths, 12 people were not wearing life jackets, the report released earlier this month found.
