Police appeal to public for information on Dargaville assault

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Police are appealing to the public for information regarding a male who was assaulted and had his vehicle stolen on Tuesday 18 September, 2018.

Between 10.15pm-10.40pm on Tuesday night, the victim left an address on Plunket Street travelling towards Dargaville Hospital via one of the three adjoining streets.

During that trip he was assaulted and sustained a blow to the head. His vehicle, a distinctive orange/copper metallic coloured Lexus IS200 saloon, was then stolen and found crashed and burnt out on Victoria Street, near the Northern Wairoa Bridge a short time later.

Dargaville police would like to hear from anyone who has information that could help our investigation, please contact Detective Andrew Bailey on 0211915765 or Detective Sergeant Jonathan Tier on 0211915774.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
