Does your loved one ride a motorcycle?

The Team from ACC New Zealand

Riding a motorcycle or scooter inevitably carries more risk than driving a four-wheeled vehicle. And it turns out quite a lot of us have someone close to us who rides (in fact, 48% of Neighbourly members!)

If you worry about their safety, there is something you can do: encourage them to take Ride Forever coaching, provided (and heavily subsidised) by ACC. It's delivered by experts and it works, as Simon Gotlieb's story shows. Neighbourly members can book a FREE Ride Forever course before 31 March using promo code NEIGH18 over here.

Taking part in Franklin's Finest late last year was a real eye-opener for me showing off awesome people behind the scenes who help make where we live a great district. No matter who I talk to, someone always has something nice to say about the people of Franklin. I feel like it's about time to shine a light on the cool things the people in our community do. So we're starting a segment on Neighbourly called Spotlight of the Week, to showcase the neat locals featured in our paper. Today's spotlight is on Anneke Liefting and Tane Welton who are now halfway through their 30,000km cycle journey from London to Auckland. They have met some friendly people in Turkey and woke up to a one in a million view in Rose Valley, Cappadocia. Anneke said they woke up at sunrise to see over 100 hot air balloons flying above them! Sounds breath-taking, I wish I had seen that too.
