Forecast: Northwest winds may approach severe gale in exposed places at times, especially near the foothills and about Banks Peninsula.
Area: Otago and Southland
Valid: 9 hours from 2:00pm to 11:00pm Wednesday
Forecast: Northwest winds may approach severe gale in exposed places during this time.
Please note, that for western areas of the South Island, this is a significant rain event and that total accumulations may exceed 500mm in some places by the end of the week.
